Uzun Hava
A brave one gets a horse and rides upon it
A brave one endures every suffering.
A brave one shelters beneath the shadow of another brave,
The wicked men has no shade, no branch.
A henna marked finger on the sword’s hilt,
How difficult it is to part from one’s homeland.
We may all perish, but we shall not give up our land,
What became of our lords in grey cloaks?
Let us climb Avşar Mountain, let it sway,
Let us take from the wealth of the stingy ones
For the path of an honest friend
We are from those who give their heads away first.

You're my evil, all the evil that
I feel inside of me, here in my soul
that because of you has no peace at this point,
that because of you no longer exists.
My tears have your name,
they have your eyes, your face and then,
then it's useless, I'll give up,
I'll have to exist without having you.

I'd like to keep my gaze on you but
you never seek out my gaze.
Everything is playful in my thoughts
but I won't speak, no, I won't speak
because you don't know, you never realize
that my evil is only you,

People say: 'Love is nothing like that.'
People say: 'Live like us, it's alright'.
'Don't expect much. People aren't what you think.
And don't waste their time with your dream!'
People say: There's no need to be sad.
You'll change nothing: for good or for bad.
Just be happy, eat, sleep. Don't be a fool!
You should simply accept it as a rule.
But Love - is.
It's in me - lives!
Like a gentle chick - in my heart
And like liquid lead - in my blood
