The third world
Walking the line between craziness and sanityWaking up in the morning to find meaning
Why am I here, is this all that there is?
In general I'm pretty hopeless
I can't really get past the time that passes
I start to choke and my head dries up
I've didn't do much this past year
Dipping into my savings for my apartment
Buying weed on the street corner
I've gotten advice from all my friends
I promised to send postcards to my parents
Don't wait for me, I'm not returning anytime soon
Travelling far to break the law
Chasing after my destiny
Chasing thrills to open
tight connections in my mind
Poking around between the legs of gentile women
just to find my strength
Getting sick, taking shrooms,
long live the third world
Dropping my head on a deserted island
Shaking dust off of sleeping dreams
Finding you there lying on the beach
Picking melons in a cruel jungle
Looking for my treasure in a lost city
I climb a volcano and gaze at it all
Travelling far...
The day will come that you will see me return
I will build my house at the foot of Mount Tabor
I will find a wife and we will have children and love each other
We'll collect debts and serve in the military reserves
We will watch the news and reads newspapers
That's all later, but for now...
Travelling far...
