To the oblivion

I believed that life is something more
Than just a short way from origin to end,
But from the cradle to the true enlightenment.
But what if the mind is only a side effect of evolution?
An error in an equation or a gift
From someone who is alien to this place like us?
 
We continue our journey through the great darkness,
Through the universe or inward ourselves,
but there are only cold and emptiness.
We have created gods while creating ourselves,
We have been asking the most important question of the being,
But in response, there is only silence,
Always silence.
 
Since the origin of the mind, since the creation of the world
We tried to understand our role,
To wit [to comprehend] the meaning and cause of our existence.
But the answer evades behind the edge of understanding,
And we seem to run against the current.
So, maybe, this is the end of the way?
Salvation is oblivion.
 
Ancient arches of abandoned temples,
How many gods that left without a trace.
We are here alone among hundreds of portals,
But each of them leads nowhere.
 
But we will continue our journey through the great darkness,
Through the universe or inward ourselves,
Although there are only cold and emptiness.
We have been creating gods while creating ourselves,
We have been searching for an answer to the most important question of the being:
 
What is love? What is death?
What is darkness? What is light?
What is good? What is evil?
What is reality? What is dream?
Where will we go? Who was before us?
We ask them a thousand times,
But there is no one to answer them.
Salvation is oblivion.
 
To the oblivion...
We are on a way to the oblivion...
