The weather here is so hot
The weather here is so dry
Some people wear shorts, some people wear hemp
Some people wear shirts, some go topless
It's so hot, people like to take off their shirts
Holding fans and crossing their legs while making coffee
I bite into a chilli while eating laksa
It's so spicy that my mom cannot recognize me
I am a Hokkien

No matter what person I am
I am a Malaysian
The sky is gloomy, about to rain
The rainwater floods streets and roads
I dried three days' worth of clothes but they have not dried yet
So much that I have to wear the same clothes for three days
The rain gets heavier as it pours
Everywhere is getting more and more flooded with water
Thunder rolls loudly
Mom will be shocked if I cannot find hemp
