Elinor

Elinor was
Just fourteen and three hours old
When she started working.
These things always stay
Registered in one's blood forever more.

She was still wearing braids
And she'd say: 'yes, sir' and 'good afternoon'.
People loved her,
Sweetest Elinor...
And she would sing while
She would move the broom around.

However, all those years in the factory
Blend into colourless
Greyness of the windows.
And after a while, Elinor wouldn't have known
How to say from where
This need to weep had come,
Nor that uncontrollable
Feeling of loneliness.

Women would say that what was happening to her
Was that she was growing older and those ills
Could be healed by getting married and having children.
Elinor, following the very wise
Prediction of those women,
Grew up, got married and has children.

Her eldest, who was a girl,
Had just turned fourteen
Exactly three hours ago
When she started working.
She was still wearing braids
And she'd say: 'yes, sir' and 'good afternoon'...

Words (Seeking Music)

Silences, beginnings, waters...

In the early morning, there aren't
Any airless Spring times.
The leaves of words
Are falling, gathering about,
From my lowered mouth.

Silences, beginnings, waters...

The wind is asking for a flame
And it places its fingers on the flute.
Words still, words:
Each time whiter and whiter,
Each time with more air,
Each time higher and higher.

Sunset

Sunset was escaping
Disturbingly,
With its purple wings
Open to the wind.

Above of the mountain ranges
It barely stopped...

Golden vision,
You revitalise our hearts:
Now, all of my life
Has become a memory.

When you where expiring, far away,
You were dictating me this words of advice:

'Watch carefully and forget,
Do not fear the night.
Wait for the brand new day
With a song yet unsung'.

Wind With Voices

I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
I am an emperor of witches!

Ticklish sensations at night
From the whispering leaves,
While the wind runs by, interlaced
With shapes that do not stop.

SIlence maybe, nothing else,
From a giant that is drawing nigh...
And, just to prevent him from getting angry,
Every leaf turns thinner.

I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
I am an emperor of witches!

The silk from the skirts
Is lifted all over the city
By invisible legs...
By invisible legs!

It has left all the virgins
Dishevelled in the streets,
Where they are coughing violently and spitting out
Pieces of rotten love!

I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
I want them all for me,
The leaves, the entire garden...
The emperor of witches!
