• 1. This might be a wordplay, because 'Metallkunst' literally translates as 'metal art', but could refer to both the craft of forging and obviously also the genre Metal
• 2. 'ward' is an old-fashioned way of saying 'wurde' which just means to become, but in the past tense. I can't find an here that doesn't sound awkward
