Zenóbiára emlékeztetnek hegyeink, cédrusaink és tölgyeink.
A Jordán folyó partján nyíló rozmaring, kakukkfű és bazsalikom.
 
Zenóbia feszíti a vitorlát a Tigris folyó hajóján,
Amelyen a tengerészek örökké hajóznak Mosulból Basrába.
 
Zenóbia egy fehérruhás menyasszony.
Zenóbia mi vagyunk, te, én és ő.
 
Zenóbia megírta esküvői fogadalmát.
Bagdad egész éjjel ünnepli őt.
Menyasszonyi ruháját Aleppóban hímezték
Esküvőjét Damaszkuszban tartják.
