Capataz

It's not like we were born yesterday, Capataz
it's not like we were born yesterday,
it's not like we are held captive
inside the star of this nice modernity.
It's not like we were born to die here.

If you try to open the window, Capataz,
and you look out with your eyes,
there are so lots of people who don't count
yet they do count and they are already counting themselves.
They are just waiting for a sign, Capataz.

When the weather changes, this old sign
when the weather changes, it will come.
When the wind rises, this old boat1,
when the wind rises, it will sail away.
It's not like we were born yesterday, Capataz.

If you try to get into my head, Capataz,
and you look out with my eyes,
there are lots of people, lots of hearts,
lots of colours instead of all that gray, a lot of news.
There's a different type of future, Capataz.

When the weather changes, this old sign
when the weather changes, it will come.
When the wind rises, this old boat,
when the wind rises, it will sail away.
There's a different type of future, Capataz.

One hundred and fifty stars

One hundred and fifty stars in single file
in this damp night that tastes like marjoram
in this splendid night that tastes like mallow
one hundred and fifty stars in this hot night.

One hundred and fifty stars or one hundred and fifty-one
and me counting them in this lampblack sky
I count them again and again and let's do the tango
in this filthy night that tastes like mud.

Someone throws bombs and no one saw that coming
in this historic night without lapilli or lava
Someone throws bombs that look like toys
that kill people but spare the squirrels.

One hundred and fifty stars and more than a spark
in this hysterical night that tastes like chamomile
one hundred and fifty stars or one thousand and five hundred
and me counting them again and slowly falling asleep.

One hundred and fifty stars and a single star
in this hypocritical night that tastes like Coca-Cola
a night so friendly one can sleep in a sleeping bag
one hundred and fifty stars in the center of the sky.

Noise of nothing

Did you really believe
we would have spoken Esperanto?
Did you really believe it
or did you just hope so?
But what time1 is this
and what electricity
But what time is this
and what time will come

What will the weather be?
Can't you hear thunder?
Can't you hear thunder yet?
Can't you hear that sound?
It's far away but it seems to be drawing nearer
this music we have already heard.

Dad, there's a killer, don't let him knock at the door.
Dad, there's a fortune teller, don't let him speak.
Dad, there's a plasterer decked out in new clothes
there's the skin of an old snake
that was just hatched
and there's a loud noise of nothing
a loud noise of nothing.

Did you really believe
we would have spoken about love?
Did you really believe it
or did you just hope so in your heart?
Today, eyes shout to eyes
and mouths sit and watch
and ears see nothing
between Babel and the global village.

Dad, there's a killer, don't let him knock at the door.
Dad, there's a fortune teller, don't let him speak.
Dad, there's a plasterer decked out in new clothes,
there's the skin of an old snake
that was just hatched
and there's a loud noise of nothing
a loud noise of nothing.

Festival

In the city of flowers, said those who saw him pass by,
that maybe he had too much to drink, but for him it was normal.
One thought it a matter of women
another said 'just like Marilyn Monroe'.
They carried him away in two hundred
too bad that it was only when he left.
The night they took the wine and washed the road with it.
Who killed the young angel who went around without a sword?

And the man of the television said:
'No tears should be wasted, at the end of the day, what
is more beautiful than life? spring has just started...'
Some recalled that he had some debts,
muttered under breath that that was the reason.
He was full of tranquilizers, but he wasn't a mean guy.
The night they took his hands
and used them for a louder applause
Who killed the little prince who didn't believe in death?

And far, far away, say what you will
but not that silence hasn't been respected.
The musical correspondent wrote:
'Everything's been paid'
They gathered behind the stage
with sweaty eyes and hands in their pockets
everyone said 'I have been his father!'
so that the show won't end.
The night that they all went to dinner
humming 'La vie en rose'
Who killed the porter's son
who was in a rush, and couldn't stop?

And so the game ended
with the friends coming from afar
to lay a rose over the crime reports
closing an eye, shaking a hand.
Some still remember him as he lights a cigarette
others made a monument to him,
to forget him a bit quicker.
The night they took the wine and washed the road with it.
Who killed that young angel who went around without a sword?

Bye bye

Bye bye
It is a shame to go, but bye bye.
You, beautiful woman on the threshol that says farwell to me.
And kisses hugs and spits,
And I spit love,
Me, that never spit.

Bye bye
To go was written, so bye bye
You, beautiful girl that never understood me.
The train is already leaving,
Weave your tissue,
My love, but cry a little less.

Bye bye
Bye love bye, love bye
Look at the beautiful flowers of that city
Bye love bye, love how are you?
Bye love, love bye, love bye.

Bye bye,
Look at the beautiful flowers of that city
That never has seen me and won't ever see me.
Look at the sea
Look at those small boats that go sailing
