Star
In a night shining under a range of blue skiesYou appeared descending closer, looking for me
And as I looked deep within your eyes, I smiled
Until you were lost in the haze and once more, I understood.
I am here looking up at you
And I wish to be forever next to you
You’re the shining star in a dark lit sky
Found in every place I turn
You lead me to where I belong
Whilst passing through the darkest paths
You are the shining star gliding in the silence
Amongst the most beautiful of the stars
You fill the night with different colour shades
As slowly you light up everywhere
I felt your hands caressing my face,
As our heavy breaths disappeared into thin air
And now the wind dried the tears I cried
And took you away to the distance place you come from
With your presence in my life, I found the hope I had once lost
You were a shoulder to lean on
When in the darkest of times you saved me from falling apart.
Like a boat sailing the ocean,
You were guiding light in the darkness
As together we set off to discover the universe
And we got lost in its immensity.
