Open your life that has no windows!
Look out and see the river’s beauty!
See how morning now awakens, and I want to
Give you flowers in a bundle bright and dewy.
We must forget the nights and shadows
And alcohol bereft of wishes!
Let the things that happened hemorrhage
Within that faithless yesterday!

From using too much gray
You’re blinded by the sun…
But that will go away!
You’ll see each color, every one,
My love, let’s stay right where we are!
My love, regard this flower’s charm,
And listen to the truth that some would call the soul.
Cut loose the past, and let it cower in the fire
