Love Behind the Mask
Could I just wake up from my sleep, open the window and look at the scenery? And see that no trace remains of those chaotic days, while the chirping birds and fragrant blossoms join in
To stop the advancing darkness
I have always believed that the nightmares will eventually pass
Health and peace don’t necessarily depend on random chance
If love and affection can bring people together, they can
Revitalize my mind too
So I say I love you, only love is unfaltering
We live in suffering, yet our hearts were never tainted
If God hands me lemons, I shall make lemonade
And I won’t resent those who are terrible
So I say I love you, with only a few words
I shall make our simple lives more fulfilling
Even when my mouth is masked over, I can still proclaim
That it was love that kept me going, and your delicate care too
How I wish I could fall back in line, so I ought to keep my spirits high
If only God made me a promise to bless my dearest partner
I won’t wait to plant a kiss on these lips
Everything will soon come to pass, and what follows shall be bliss
We are just in the middle of things
If panic takes over and it’s become too difficult to bear, there’s no need to retreat
Let’s focus and fight on
So I say I love you, only love is unfaltering
We live in suffering, yet our hearts were never tainted
Even when my mouth is masked over, I can still proclaim
That it was love that kept me going, and your delicate care too
I don’t care, I do care
Living in this world, there are still things that I am concerned about
When the horizon grows brighter, let’s put aside our preferences
Remove our divides and greet each other
So I say I love you, only love is unfaltering
We live in suffering, yet our hopes were never tainted
No matter how much hardship God hands me, I won’t dare let Him down
No one is to be doubted or underestimated
Here we say I love you, we’ve all become pastry chefs
Skilfully melting away the bitterness in life
Even if my mouth is masked over, I shall exclaim even louder
That it was love that kept me going, and also everyone’s tender loving care
