Why Was The Sky
Why was yesterday's sky so translucent,The streets so radiant and gay?
Why is the sun once so brilliant,
So cloudy and angry today?
They weep now, the sky, streets, and houses,
Hearts mourn in inaudible woe,
Can one forget, how can one forget
Our hours of joy, long ago?
Your tears wipe away, forget now your grief.
Mourning is only in vain.
By tomorrow perhaps, by tomorrow for sure,
The sun will shine forth once again.
