Gum Cistus's Flower
Make a star fallwhich coats my body with all its light.
Bring me holm oak's sceneries
in your eyes, a green painted blue.
Clean my sky of clouds,
fill my hours with honey.
You, my bright star, my gum cistus's flower1, come.
Make a star fall
which silver plates the latest sun.
Bring me cherries, pomegranates
as lips, sparkles on your heart.
Give me your scent of apple,
heather and thyme on my skin.
You, my bright star, my gum cistus's flower1, come.
Make a star fall
which coats the moon with another dawn.
Bring me seed of life
in your arms, the strength of your whole self.
Love me, incense and broom,
furrow and fallow underfoot.
You, my bright star, my gum cistus's flower1, come.
