Ramadan has come back to us

O you who is asleep, wake up!
 
And profess your belief in the unity of the Everlasting!
 
There is no god but Allah
 
Have a blessed Ramadan!
 
Our neighbourhood's lanterns are lit,
 
Announcing the arrival of a new guest,
 
Who will fill my heart with joy,
 
And will turn our days into one big celebration
 
Ramadan has come back to us,
 
And its arrival has brought us so much joy,
 
After being gone for so long
 
Welcome Ramadan!

Ramadan has come back to us,
 
And the voice of the caller rises amongst us,
 
Calling us with each call to prayer (Adhan),
 
Saying: Come to the Qur'an!
 
And filling our hearts with faith (iman)
 
Loved ones gather together once again,
 
And we hear the sounds of doors being knocked on by guests,
 
And a dinner table filled with love gathers us,
 
Reuniting us after we were apart for so long
 
Ramadan has come back to us,
 
And its arrival has brought us so much joy,

Paradise

No matter how much we taste .. of its sweetness
Or its bitterness .. soon it will be forgotten
This life is but a place of transit .. All that's in it will wither and perish
O Lord, don't try us!

This world is mortal, all that's in it will disappear
Paradise, Paradise it's all I wish for
O Lord, grant us the joy of seeing You in Paradise
 
It is where we'll meet .. Our Prophet and his companions
Oh, how I long .. for the sight of my Lord!
Peace, comfort, and security .. in it is what no eye has ever seen
We pray to You do not deprive us of this joy

One day my deeds will be presented before You
Neither my family, friends, nor wealth will be of use to me
Your mercy is only my hope
Grant me forgiveness and make my wishes come true

It is The Qur'an

Remembrance, admonition and light
A healing to the heart
And our intercessor on Judgement Day
Its verses quench our thirst
Its attributes are the source of guidance
We attain Paradise by loving it
Our life will never be set right...
without it
 
It is the Quran, and the Criterion [between right & wrong]
To it the worlds listen attentively
And the ears rejoice when they hear it
It is the Quran
An illumination that fills the horizons
A light that awakens the yearning [for all that is good]
Ethics and beautiful morals are contained within it
It is the Quran
 
It guides the lost and bewildered
Our souls yearn for it so much
It's the highest and nothing can exceed it
Let us recite its verses
And live under its shade
We’ll forget our worries when we are close to it
Our life will never be set right...
without it
 
It is the Quran, and the Criterion [between right & wrong]

Peace be upon you

My eyes are full of longing .. And they've shed tears due to missing Taiba (Medina)
So I came to (visit) my Beloved .. Calm down, my heart, and be gentle!

A heart that is attached to the Absolute-Truth (Allah) .. And that began to glow in the Cave of Hira
Crying and asking His Creator .. So, when revelation came to him, he shone
Read, O Muhammad, read!
 
O Taiba (Medina) I came to you sick from longing .. Full of love for the Messenger of Allah
My soul settled in the Rawdha (Prophet's grave) .. And resided beside our guide Muhammad
