I lit a match
I lit a matchAnd it gave out fire
And I wanted to take
Fire for the cigarette from the match
But the match dropped
And went onto the carpet
And it almost burnt a hole in the carpet
Yes, I know what can happen
When you are not careful with fire
And compared to getting a cigarette lit
The carpet is way too expensive
And from the carpet - oh god
The fire could have spread to the whole house
Und who knows what else could have happened
There would have been a fire in the quarter
And the fire department would have had to come
The sirens would have been heard on the streets
And they would have taken the hose from the truck
And they would have sprayed water
And it would have not been enough
And the whole city would have burnt, and no one could be safe from it
And people would have run around
And feared for their fortunes
They would have thought that someone started it on purpose
They would have taken a rifle in their anger
Everyone would have shouted: 'Whose fault is this?'
The whole country in a turmoil
And they would have shot the ministers at the lectern
The UN would have intervened
And also the UN opposers
To restore peace in Switzerland
Both would have come with tanks
This would gradually spread
To Europe, Africa
It would have been a new world war and humanity wouldn't be anymore
I lit a match
And it gave out fire
And I wanted to take
Fire for the cigarette from the match
But the match dropped
And went onto the carpet
Thank god that I took it instantly from it
