Darkness Has Shrouded Stepojevac
Darkness has shrouded StepojevacFalcon squawks, and the storm is resounding.
The black darkness descended from the sky,
When German armored cars arrived.
Armored cars, a truck or two,
Hey, Stepojevac, blood must be spilled!
Deadly Germans stepped on the road,
And set up their machine guns.
They've secured greengrocer's and the pub
And fired a burst from their machine guns.
When they made it to one market
They surrounded Bane Jovanović.
That watched Dragan, a falcon,
Falcon of village Konatica.
From the pub, with few comrades,
He began taunting the Germans.
Dragan latched onto Maschingewehr
And looked to see if the Germans are fleeing.
But Germans opened fire,
And wounded Dragan in the arm.
Then, Germans fired again,
Many men fell dead.
Those who survived were captured
That's when Dragan's flank broke down.
Dragan himself, with one comrade
Managed to escape by Leskovac road
Then, Germans caught Bane
And threw him in the truck
Then drove it to town of Lajkovac
In order to heavily torture him.
Young Posavina men shout
While cannons roar from Posavina.
