The Braid
On a dusty road that sloped downhill,Our squadron walked at a steady pace.
We see a beautiful girl by the road,
Her braid is a wonder, her eyes like the sea
She smiled simply
And waved a hand
And our captain then said, with a smile:
“Look around, there is dust and fog behind us,
But a beautiful maiden stands beside us,

She saw the hero on horseback
And she smiled at me.”
Everyone heard, everyone laughed, everyone dreamed.
Our lieutenant said, with a cheerful laugh:
“Joyfully, the maiden is a beauty,
