Hoodlum

Mom,dad, i am a hoodlum
Mom,dad, i am a bad boy
Mom, dad, i have bottles in my bag
Mom ,dad, i have wads in my bag*

Who has the gas? (who?)
Who has the responsibility (who?)
Who has the signs? (who?)
Who will be hitting the MAT(who?)
Who has a lawyer? (who?)
Who has a marker? (who?)
Who has the box of Maalox** (who, who)

Mom, dad, don't excuse them
Mom, dad, i didn't break them
Mom, dad, the cops did it
Mom, dad, i only burned the tree

We drank chemicals
We broke cop cars
We went through an alley
We took the subway
We threw eggs at them
Rocks, a lot of paint
But they were holding shields, those cunts

Mom, dad, i am a hoodlum
Mom, dad, i am a bad boy
Mom, dad, i was attacking the banks
Mom, dad, you were swearing at them too

The friends

My friends packed up and left the country
Who knows what time is it there now
One is in Amsterdam, the other in Berlin
And another in with a suitcase in London

I was making fun of the picturesque migration songs
Which old people used to listen to and cry
Now i'm rubbing my eyes and keep counting miles
Waving goodbye with scarves online

And we who were left behind are talking occasionally
sharing the panic attacks
We are complaining to our friends and blaming,
the people next to us and not the lazy ones

My friends packed up because they can't handle it anymore
Some ended up poor, some succeeded
Others are in factories mentioned in those songs,
that old people used to listen and cry to

And they always hear that question,
If they are coming back now or later
Then the voice and the moment freeze
Until they answer 'we'll see'

And we who were left behind are talking occasionally
sharing the panic attacks
We are complaining to our friends and blaming,
the people next to us and not the lazy ones

Hang in there my friends, the storm will pass
Although we will be old by then
I will be seeing your grandchildren and hit 'like'
And i will be sending you love through skype

Why Are You Looking At Me

Why are you looking at me?
Don't you remember me?
I'm the one whose live you control

I'm the one who died in a refuge
The one who found sudden death one day
The one who starved
The one who drowned a night in the Aegean

Why are you looking at me with those eyes?
Am I the one who demolished your palaces?

Am I the one who comes to your bed at night
Asking for hugs and sympathy
Cause I've never had them, not even once in my life
But I was on the first page of the newspaper

Why are you looking at me?Why are you pitying me?
I'm the one who you want to forget

I was the one at Smyrna , when they were jumping on boats
In a cellar in Iran when it got demolished
I was bombarded in Syria
I became scattered ashes in Belgrade

Don't look at me
I'm sorry
No one ever asked about my opinion

No one asked if I wanted to be born
Or if I wanted to be shown on the news
I just happened to rise from the east
And set somewhere in the west
