Boys from AK

On August 1, all over Warsaw
the terrible rumpus has begun.
On one side there were Germans.
On the other side, the Warsaw's AK.

Teutons had tanks and Nebelwerfers
and the help of the Wlasow's Cossacks
Brave Warsaw did not have that,
but she did have boys from AK.

Teuton general puts Polish women
in front of tanks to kill them, but it fails,
because they are defended by the boys from AK.

Then the Germans from airplanes,
(because this is their already such custom)
they shoot women and children,
boys from AK are furious.

General Bór on the radio to Churchill
Save - he says - a Polish brother,
because we can't take it anymore
and all the guys will die.

Then the night raiders came,
More than one crate fell on the city.
There are already grenades and guns.
And the Huns pale as they see AK.

The Führer called out to his soldiers.
Good for nothing - he says - such a job!
We have bombers, Nebelwerfers and tanks.
And here the boys from AK are beating us

And he amassed an army of his own soldiers.
He gave everyone a bomb in a backpack,
already ten are against one,
you gotta beat up the guys from AK.

They were terribly afraid of their leader,
but even more of a Varsovian,
they were beating the capital for two months,
bravely defended by boys from AK.

They have ruined all the churches,
they locked a lot of the nation in barracks,
but all this is not helping them.
They can't beat the boys from AK.

Roman proverb said
that Hercules don't fight the ten alone.
In a dilapidated city and under violence.
The guys from AK capitulate.

And Russians were in Praga,
and all their flock.
In the Russian way they tricked us,
Such is the lot of the boys from AK.

Empty capital city and burned out.
It frightens from afar like a some nightmare.
But it is proof for whole world,
of the heroism of boys from AK.

And when Poland will rise free,
and it will not just any capital city in it.
It will be a monument for ages
for the heroic boys from AK.
