Like a deer to a stream
So does my soul aspire
Only to you, my God,
It flies on and on
It's only you, the divine one,
Who, at midday and midnight,
My eyes are seeking after

You reign over the earth
You're the King and the Saviour

Like a bee for a lilly
Like a deer for a stream

Where the follies are endless
Where unbelief is ignored
There can't be any comfort
For a soul without Christ

An unmeasurable happiness
Only where brotherhood rules
