Mystery Guest

I took the stairs of a dream,
walking into a misty forest
Whose worry did the angel eavesdrop on,
causing a ripple?

Time designed for me
who would be the mystery guest at the next second
Carefully, the mask was taken off,
receiving a round of encouraging applause

Who intruded on my site?
Who caught me unprepared?
I’ve long expected a certain plot to take place,
but you,
slyly, lethally, hit me squarely at my red heart

Who did I get close to?
Who gradually left me?
A splendid play, a grand joint project.
But your silhouette
as a cameo role left me with an indelible memory

You rang my doorbell.
I finally woke up with yawns
All keyed up, I said to you: Welcome

All the audiences have left.
Only I am still here looking for [you]
Listening to the ending tune,
I am unable to get out [of this place]

Who intruded on my site?
Who caught me unprepared?
I’ve long expected a certain plot to take place,
but you,
slyly, lethally, hit me squarely at my red heart

Who did I get close to?
Who gradually left me?
A splendid play, a grand joint project.
But your silhouette
as a cameo role left me with an indelible memory

Whose room is mine adjacent to?
Who is my neighbor now?
Grateful for your appearance in my life,
your kindly accepting my invitation
The tune ends and the audience disperse, but [we] wrote down the ending chapter called “It Is Never Over”

The Color of My Eyes

The riddle of Sphinx
Is solved
The dramas of Shakespeare
No longer attract me
The eyes of Elizabeth Taylor
Is filled with the ancient tears of Cleopatra
Say goodbye fast and forever

Only when the body is in an orgy
The heart isn’t bothered by the nuisances
Only when ears are filled with music
Can I be throw to the clouds
Nothing can’t be changed
Just like nothing is worth of being changed
A whole night is in a blink

Who will burn
the darkness of my eyes
Who can escape
my hypnosis
I’ll make you willing
to give me all of you
You only need to look deeply into my eyes

Who will burn
the darkness of my eyes
Who can stop
my thirst
I’ll make you
fall into the deepest happiness
And never forget my eyes

Heartbreak

The endless alley
as I remember is actually not too long
The endless running tracks
as I remember encircle but a small playground

How did time compass
the vicissitudes of life?
What did it grab from my hands?

Watch the setting sun
with your eyes closed:
It was gorgeous like us, a bunch of 16-year-olds
We strolled and sang.
With a simple, romantic, and fearless mind,
we thought we would reach that far-off land

We were once in love—
my heart aches at the thought of that

Students flocked out of class, like the boisterous waves
piling up against the banks
Waiting as always at the gate,
I was like a dam

Holding hands,
we slowly moved in the throng
The whole universe
was hiding between our palms

Watch the last setting sun
with your eyes closed:
It was a stunning pity
The splendid gloom,
the pandemonic youth—
hastily we were wrenched apart
Clearly we were in love,
but we didn’t know
how to keep our love strong, not split in half
Why does life never wait,
wait for us to grow,
to rewrite the past?
I once had you.
That’s the part that broke my heart

Fairy Tale (Lie)

I did have some good dates
I’d say I wasn’t lonely
Maybe because I was dissipated
and made people worry
which led all those relationships to a dead end

There is no trauma or demon in me
so please put your mind at ease
I’m not a snowflake.
Besides, being jilted can’t even be called a trauma
Anyway doesn’t love just go one way or another?

I’m not lying.
Why do I have to lie?
You know me well-
I never feign [nonchalance] in front of you
In what way could I be lying?
Please don’t think you’re unforgettable
The smile is real, not a way of trying to be brave

I haven’t been to this restaurant for ages
I didn’t know it had been remodeled
Sitting in that corner by the window,
I can smell the fragrance of roses
Now that you mentioned it, it somehow came back to my mind

I’m not lying.
Why do I need to lie?
You know that
one of my shortcomings is forgetfulness
How come I was lying?
I do feel grateful for your company tonight
which I somehow should feel not used to

I’m not lying.
Why do I have to lie?
How serious could it be
when one’s love is unrequited?
Don’t say that I’m lying.
Life has been so hard already,
so some things should left undebunked

I’m not lying.
It’s love that’s lying
It brought you to me and lulled me into believing
that more I want it, the more likely I will get it
I’m not lying.
I wish for you to be a happy bride
And please just forget what weighs on my mind

Yearning for Freedom

We are all short of something
so we can fall into a funk within a second
Hard to stay simple,
burdens abound
We’ve been pretty brave,
but we are still depressed

There are options for many things
I know that only in hindsight
We are cross and grumpy,
we are curt and blunt
Sometimes communication
is fruitless

Maybe only you
understand me
So you didn’t run away from me
You shed tears
but hold me close
and say quietly
you love me so
Only you understand me:
I’m like a caged animal
trapped in the skyscraper, yearning for freedom

I sniffed and chased my dreams all the way
to the roof, only to fall so heavily
I didn’t feel pain,
but I felt empty
Mirages of the city vary

Even love may turn cold
But now I am warm with you in my arms
I have no idea of the future,
but I don’t want to
forsake this moment
simply because the unpredictability of the future

Maybe only you
understand me
So you didn’t flee
You shed your tears
and hold me close
and say quietly
you love me so
Only you understand me:
I’m like a caged animal
trapped in the skyscraper, yearning for freedom

Maybe only you
understand me
So you didn’t flee
You shed your tears
and hold me close
and say quietly
you love me so
Only you understand me:
I’m like a caged animal
trapped in the skyscraper, yearning for freedom
Trapped in the skyscraper, yearning for freedom

Back Figure

3 cm of sunlight, 3 cm of air
Block in front like a piece of glass
Block off your expression, only footprints are left

Keep walking forward, couldn't walk off the distance
Keep moving backward, couldn't back out from memories
I'm glad there are things on my mind to trap myself

The light grass scent on your hair
Turns into wind in order to meet me
Your glance evaporates into cloud
Then rain so I can approach

Thank you that I can't reside in your eyes
So I can embrace your back
All the regrets are to remember
All the imperfect beauties

Thank you that I can't embrace your back
So I can become your back
Hide in the quiet corner
You don't need to look back, don't need to appreciate

All the warm air within my chest
Doesn't dare to meet you even if it turns into wind
The things on my mind evaporate into cloud
Then become rain, but don't want to rain on you

Thank you that I can't reside in your eyes
So I can embrace your back
All the regrets are to remember
All the imperfect beauties

Thank you that I can't embrace your back
So I can become your back
Hide in the quiet corner
You don't need to look back, don't need to appreciate

Thank you that I can't embrace your back
So I can become your back
Hide in the quiet corner
If you do look back, don't need to be concerned
