Stars

Why have all the stars in the night sky
Frozen in motionless constellations
And admiring each other with a sigh,
Don't soar to one another without reservations?
 
But sometimes, a spark on the trail of another
Will fly by and be seen from afar,
But know, it's place will soon be taken by some other:
That spark is - a falling star.
 

Swallows

The idle beholder of nature,
I love, having forgotten everything around,
To monitor arrow-shaped swallow
Over the pond in the evening.
 
And here it rushed and drew a line -
And it's fearfully, that the glass surface
By alien element could catch
The lightning wing.
 
And the similar audacity again,
And similar dark jet -
Aren't the inspiration
And human self identical?
 
Am I, impoverished receptacle,
Dare to forbidden way as well,
Seeking to scoop up a slightest bit of
Alien, transcendent element?
 

A Night in May

The final flock of late storm-clouds is flying
Above us like festoon.
And their transparent tail is softly dying
In glow of crescent moon.
 
Mysterious spring power reigns supreme here,
Its forehead's lined with stars. -
You, gentle one! You promised me a bliss spree
In earthly world of ours.
 
But where's the bliss? Not here in squalid setting,
It seems like smoke to me.
Let's follow smoky path and then, I'm betting,
Forever we'll be free!

The Spring And Night Have Covered Dales...

The spring and night have covered dales,
The soul escapes to sleepless darkness,
And it can hear clear hails
Of other life, detached and harmless.
 
Unearthly life, serene and slow,
Holds conversation with the lost soul
And breathes its cold eternal flow
Directly into soul as ghost dole.
 
Here comes the dawn! The shadows fade,
The flustered fog melts, sensing rout, -
And to embrace the coming day
The soul in ecstasy flies out.
