Femme Fatale

“Bound for Hell.”
I looked at the words on the one-way ticket
and pretended not to see them.
You arrived, and we rode again tonight
drinking booze like we did yesterday.

Damn It Damn It
I don’t know any better.

Singing & Swinging
where the currents take me.

Wake up Wake up
before I knew it, you’d gone.

Don’t let me down…

Drive me mad
with the sweet smell of your hair,
with the touch of your blushing cheeks.
Let me touch you.
I’ve long since gone mad.

Once we wake up, we go on unsteady feet.
Let’s hurry and get off if we can still make it.
The door opened, and lust overwhelmed me.
I’m engulfed and buried deep.

Drive me mad
with your voice and sweet sighs,
with the touch of your nails digging into me.
Let me forget.
My long-faded scars ache.

Damn It Damn It
I don’t know any better.

Singing & Swinging
where the currents take me.

Wake up Wake up
before I knew it, you’d gone somewhere.

Don’t let me down…

Drive me mad
with your voice and wild sighs,
with the touch of your nails digging into me.
Let me forget.
My long-faded scars ache.

I’ve long since gone mad.

I’m mad…

Folklore

Someone spoke about some traditions.
It was probably once on the television.
Everyone forgets everything, night and day.

I was supposed to be watching like an eagle
but I missed my step and went head over heels.
“Welcome to the city of forgotten civilisation.”

Though I advance to the right, though I go to the left
there’s not a single person there,
no matter where I try to stand.
Though I wait, it seems like nothing’s going to happen.
When I look at my feet, I see some carved-in letters.

“Each time they’re born, they head towards death.
There aren’t many things they can pass down.”
“I’ll become one of the corpses that pile up.
If only I could reach you, who I can’t see yet.”

The city I still wander in
is falling to ruin yet is somewhat beautiful.
It’s like the trembling flame of a candle.

My descendants should have inherited it
yet that flame seems like it’s about to vanish.
I dwindled down and flickers here, still.

I still walk these forgotten streets
though I won’t encounter anyone else here.
I realised something while advancing endlessly:
this city is a single close future.

Each time they’re born, they head towards death. In this cycle
I saw a vortex of greed that kept spinning.
One by one, they were swallowed in and they vanished.
There’s nothing left in the end.
