The grumpy wife

Don't use that tone, don't use it with me
You have no reason to rub it in and I'll tell you why.
You are my wife and queen, star of my hearth
I swear it on the red wine that fills this glass.
I give you my body if you are interested in it,
but I keep my mouth, because I want to talk to you tonight.

You must have respect for this profound man
who stacked the deck and pissed on the walls of the world.
I may be a drifter or even a loser
but do ask around, ask who your husband is!

I am the king of cards1 and I have heavy hands
and I have left the impression of my ring in lots of people
I am the son of the Sun and I eat roses
and I have taught love to hundreds of boring women.

Your brother-in-law is an asshole, he's anything but a catch!
He is gloomier than a graveyard and looks like a faded martian.
He may be filthy rich and a gentleman to boot,
but imagine him in bed making love, how lame is that?
I am just biding my time
because in this world one must be brave but more importantly, smart.
Then we'll see who's laughing, I'll show you
I have here a list of people and I'm going to get back at them.
I am the son of the Sun and I eat roses
and I have given sleepless nights to hundreds of lusty women.

Now let's stop talking
give me a honest kiss
we are like falling stars
but we are still in the sky.
Let's go back to bed because it's almost morning,
I want to make love with you, my stubborn queen.

Frankenstein

Thank God, Mr. Frankenstein
here no one knows about you and me
Listen to that buzz, Mr. Frankenstein,
they are rats, right-thinking rats.

I don't like their truth, it doesn't seem right
and they give me that evil stare.
You'll see, sooner or later they'll come after us,
they are beasts, more than you are, more than you are.

Oh, I miss it so much, Mr. Frankenstein
they were going crazy with fear.
Now even you, Mr. Frankenstein
are just a pale stand-in.

Their truth is crystal-clear bullcrap
and they give me that evil stare.
You'll see, sooner or later they'll come after us
they are beasts, more than you are, more than you are.

Better go away, Mr. Frankenstein
before the city takes its [first] breath
because here come the merchants and the cunning children
as numerous and brave as rabbits,
the housewives, drifters and high society.
And everyone is chasing an ending or an eternal dream
to get away a bit from their need,
they are beasts, hungry for mediocrity.

Their truth is crystal-clear bullcrap
and they give me that evil stare.
You'll see, sooner or later they'll come after us
they are beasts, more than you are, more than you are.

All that is evil was in front of us,
all that is good was in our hearts...1
