Laugh

Laugh, don't let 'sorrow' laugh at us 1
Your laugh is my way to happiness

The weather become cool since we've been together 2
And if we loved each other even more it might get cooler

And I want you to talk to me all night
Who said 'the best thing for unjust person is to sleep' is true? 3

And let me drown in the middle of the sea, I never wanna reach the shore 4
To die drowned is an honorable death

And bury me in your holy valley of Sinai 5
Two domes, and the headstone is your necklace

Money

Money doesn't make any man 'A MAN' if he doesn't have the good manners embedded within him in the first place 1
There is plenty of rich men whom are disgrace to their families

That's right, money help us build a home, take care of our families
And help us reach our dreams

But, we 2 never make it a reason for regret
We act noble even to the ones we hate, because we want to be representative with everyone 3

We have no envy in our hearts towards others at all
May we be helpful to others with that cash, and may it never be the 'center' of our lives 4

Even if money served us a good life as expected, we will never become 'money slaves'
We'll still be up to expectations of our good people, family and friends

  • 1. The definition of 'Man' here, means the man who helps others when needed, even if that meant lending money to friends or family. A man who wouldn't turn someone down if he can help. Such man will make his family proud (in Arab culture). That means he is up to people's expectations from him.
  • 2. He means men of his family/tribe
  • 3. Image matters so much in the Arab culture, for the individual, the family and the tribe. He means we wanna maintain that image of the noble mannered family and we're not gonna ruin that legacy, even if that means we have to be good to someone we hate. In this line he means we'll help others as much as we can with the money we have.
  • 4. Not to be so dependable on money and materialistic.
